Father Richard Murphy Named 2025 Greenwich St Patrick’s Parade Grand Marshal
Father Murphy was ordained a priest in 1996 at St. Augustine Cathedral in Bridgeport by then, Bishop Edward Egan. His first assignment was St. Thomas the Apostle in Norwalk, after that St. Cecilia in Stamford, then as pastor he was assigned to St. Theresa in Trumbull followed by being made pastor of Our Lady of Peace in Stratford, In 2014 he was assigned to St. Michael parish in Greenwich. Presently serves as chaplain of the Greenwich Police Dept and the Greenwich Knights of Columbus.
