On Saturday Nov 12, Greenwich Police responded to a report of a man and a woman involved in a dispute in central Greenwich at the corner of Davis Avenue and East Elm Street. Investigation revealed that the man was in violation of a protective order.

According to Lt. Kraig Gray of Greenwich Police after police responded to a disturbance between two individuals, at first they weren’t there. But after a second call, they found the man and woman on Greenwich Ave and learned the subject was in violation of a protective order.

“Initially, the suspect tried to mislead the officers by lying about who he was,” Lt Gray said. “He provided a false name and date of birth, and that he was in violation of a protective order.”

Gray said the couple was located in Greenwich Ave.

Marcus E Williams, 34, of 105 Sickles Ave in New Rochelle was arrested and charged with Interfering with an Officer and Criminal Violation of a Protective Order. His bond was set at $50,000, which he was unable to post

Williams was assigned date at Stamford Superior Court on Nov. 14, 2016
