On Thursday, Feb 15, right around 5pm when Tod’s Point was going to close for the day, Greenwich Police received a report of a person who may have been intoxicated at the beach. They received a second report of a person who might be injured at the beach and then gotten into a car and driven out of the beach erratically.
A short time later a Greenwich Police officer spotted the car traveling north on Sound Beach Avenue, and attempted to initiative a motor vehicle stop.
Instead, the car rear ended a car heading north, just south of Old Greenwich School. That car went into the car in front of it, for a total of three damaged cars.
“Fortunately, there were only minor injuries,” said Lt Slusarz. “Everyone went to the hospital.”
The case is under investigation. No one has been arrested.
