Each year at Julian Curtiss School of World Languages, the year begins by formally inducted incoming kindergartners. The weather was perfect as the excitement and anticipation was felt in the air. All the children were dressed wearing their best.
The annual ringing in ceremony, initiated by former Principal Nancy Carbone, has become a longstanding tradition.
Jovial parents as well as students and friends were in attendance as each kindergartner rang the Julian Curtiss school bell. The ringing of the school bell signifies the beginning of each child’s education at Julian Curtiss.
Faculty member Mrs. Lynn Arndt shared a musical offering to the community, as the entire school community gathered on the patio and courtyard.
“The Kindergarten ceremony is very simple, but filled with so much joy” said Julian Curtiss Principal Trish McGuire. “These kids will be the class of 2029, they’re the future of our country.”
