On Saturday Dec 16, Greenwich Police on patrol in Glenville observed a white Chevrolet Silverado parked on the shoulder of the northbound lane of Weaver Street with its hazard lights on.
Police say the vehicle appeared disabled and an officer went to check on the driver to sew what assistance was needed.
The driver, later identified as Vincent Ferraro Jr, 24, of 5 East Byway admitted to having consumed four beers prior to driving. Police say he had glassy bloodshot eyes and dilated pupils and the odor of alcoholic type beverages.
Ferraro Jr was unable to perform sobriety tests to standard and was arrested. He was charged with DUI and Failure to Drive in Proper Lane. Unable to post his $250 bond at the time of his arrest, he was held at police station. He has a court date on Dec 26, 2017 in Stamford Superior Court.
