The Greenwich Alliance for Education was founded in 2006 as a way for the Greenwich community to support the public school system by piloting innovative, educational programs that provide access to opportunities which offer enrichment and close achievement gaps. The Alliance has three main programs: “Going Places With Books”, early literacy program; “Tuning In To Music”, free instrumental music lessons for students unable to afford this opportunity;
“Reaching Out Grants”, grants awarded to fund innovative programs in our schools.
More information about Greenwich Alliance for Education is available online, including the foundation’s early literacy programs for preschoolers and after-school and weekend programs.
