Greenwich Police were detailed to Greenwich Avenue at about 11:15pm on Feb 2 after a witness reported seeing a 2013 Toyota Tundra traveling East on Putnam Ave, crossing the double yellow line and nearly striking numerous cars. The witness relayed that the Toyota then turned south on Greenwich Avenue.
Police were able to locate the car traveling south with a broken tail lamp on its driver’s side. Police stopped the car in front of the Apple Store.
The driver, identified by his CT driver’s license as Todd Christopher Ferber, 50, of 30 Lumanor Drive in Stamford, was found to have alcoholic type beverage upon his breath and person. He was not able to properly provide his paperwork for his vehicle, or a clear story for where he was traveling.
Ferber failed to perform field sobriety tests to standard.
He was charged with DUI and Failure to Have Tail Lamps.
He has was released on a $250 bond and has a date scheduled in court on Feb 16, in Stamford Superior Court.
