Greenwich is monitoring and tracking a potential Nor’easter forecast to impact the area Monday night or early Tuesday.
Rain will be heavy at times and will slowing Tuesday morning. Greenwich may see 2″-3″ of rain. Rain may be mixed with sleet Monday afternoon.
Greenwich is under a slew of weather advisories from the National Weather Service, including a High Wind Warning, Floor Watch, and Coastal Flood Advisory
The high wind warning has been issued and Greenwich residents can expect winds Northeast 30-40 miles per hour with gusts up to 60 miles per hour. The warning is in effect through 1:00am on Tuesday.
High winds may bring down trees and power lines, and result in road closures.
Travel may become difficult.
Residents are advised to secure belongings outdoors and be prepared for a power outage. Make sure flashlights, battery operated radios and mobile devices are fully charged.
