Jonathan Ortecho, 33, of 4200 Hutchinson River Parkway in Bronx, NY was arrested on Jan 15 after he turned himself in at Greenwich Police headquarters.
The arrest warrant resulted from an investigation into a credit card that was stolen from a local car wash on West Putnam Ave on Dec. 1, 2016.
According to the police report Mr. Ortecho made unauthorized purchases totaling $6,385.32 on the stolen card.
“A customer realized she had been victimized at the car wash and the manager called us,” said Lt. Kraig Gray, adding that Mr. Ortecho was an employee of the car wash.
Ortecho was charged with Larceny 3 and Credit Card Theft. His bond was set at $500 and he was assigned a court date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 30, 2017.
