The annual Christmas Tree sale on the lawn of First Congregational Church, 108 Sound Beach Avenue, in Old Greenwich will benefit several local charities.

On Saturday, Nov 26, the Greenwich High School freshman football team, wearing their Santa hats will unload 500 Christmas trees delivered from New Hampshire at 8:00am.

The sale begins promptly at 9:00am.

The dates of the sale are:

  • November 26, 2016, 9:00 am – 6:30 pm
  • November 27, 2016, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • December 3, 2016, 9:00 am – 6:30 pm
  • December 4, 2016, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • December 10, 2016, 9:00 am – 6:30 pm, if needed
  • December 11, 2016, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, if needed

In recent years the sale has grown into a community event with numerous volunteers of all ages, including church members, representatives of local charities and students from Greenwich’s public and private schools.

All the trees are cut in New Hampshire on “Black Friday” and arrive in Old Greenwich the next morning for unloading at 8:00am, insuring maximum freshness.

All net proceeds from the sale of 500 fresh- cut New Hampshire Fraser Fir and Balsam Fir trees, along with 150 decorated and undecorated wreaths, will benefit local charities:

Kids in Crisis
Meals on Wheels
Pacific House
BackCountry Jazz
Neighbors Link
Young Mariners Academy (SoundWaters)
