Two Stamford residents suffered serious life threatening injuries on Saturday night when their vehicle was struck by a tractor trailer on Arch Street.
Around 5:30pm, Greenwich Police were notified of a serious collision at the intersection of Arch Street and the I-95 south bound off ramp at exit 3.
A tractor trailer had struck a passenger car entrapping the occupants. The Fire Dept had to extricate the driver and passenger from the damaged car. They were then transported to a local trauma center with serious, life threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
According to Greenwich Police, the collision is under investigation.
