The Greenwich Police Department is accepting applications for the 2016 fall Women’s Self-Defense Class.
The five-week program is open to female applicants between 18-55 years of age.
There are two sessions meeting twice a week on Monday and Wednesday from 6:00pm to 7:30pm and 7:45pm to 9:15pm. The time slots are limited to 20 students each.
The classes begin on November 14, 2016 and graduation is tentatively scheduled for December 15, 2016.
The Women’s Self Defense Class enables participants to learn proven techniques that will bolster their confidence in self-defense situations and overcome physical/psychological situations.

Completed applications, along with a photocopy of a driver’s license and check for $35 made payable to the Silver Shield Association may be returned to the front desk at Greenwich Police Headquarters to the attention of the Community Impact Office.
Instructors for the program are highly trained and experienced Greenwich Police Officers.
