Fugitive Arrested after Report of Pedestrians Allegedly Throwing Rocks at Each Other on Rte 15

On Tuesday Ricky Holloway of 115 15th Ave in Harlem, NY was arrested at about 9:30am for an incident on the Merritt Parkway, southbound at the Lake Avenue Exit Exit 29 after police responded to a report of a male and female throwing rocks at each other while walking north on Route 15.

Upon arrival Officers located a male and female walking on the Route 15. Officers escorted both parties off of the highway onto Lake Avenue where their vehicle was parked. At no time was either subject observed throwing rocks or fighting.

Further investigation revealed that the two subjects parked their vehicle on Old Mill Road and walked onto the Highway to attempt to locate paperwork that had flew out of the car window while they were driving on Route 15. The male party did not have any identification and gave two different names. According to Greenwich Police the man could not be positively identified by either name through the New York DMV database .

The females subject was positively identified as Aurora Jackson. She was issued an infraction for Use of the Highway by Pedestrian.

The male subject was placed under arrest for Use of Highway by Pedestrian, Interfering with an Officer, Criminal Impersonation and Forgery 2nd degree. This man, who identified himself as Christian Powell, was transported to Greenwich Police headquarters as he could not be positively identified.

While being fingerprinted, officers received a ‘Hit’ from Holloway’s fingerprints indicating he had an active extraditable warrant out of New York for Violation of Parole and Robbery.

The arrest warrant was confirmed by New York City and Holloway was processed by Greenwich Police department as a Fugitive from Justice. Lt. Nemecek set Holloway’s bond at $10,000, which he was unable to post. Holloway was assigned a court date of July 3 at Stamford Superior Court.

The man was identified as Ricky Holloway through his fingerprints. Greenwich Police also learned of a warrant for Holloway’s arrest for Violation of Parole in Queens, NY.   At that point Holloway admitted that he had lied when he said his name was Christian Powell.

Holloway is being held on a $10,000 bond. New York Police Department was notified and will be contacting Stamford Superior Court to extradite Holloway to New York for his active warrant.
