Around 5:45am on Friday Greenwich Police had to close Steamboat Road at the railroad bridge, as a large tractor trailer had become struck underneath.
In a Twitter post around 6am, Greenwich Police said that a heavy duty tow truck was en route to remove the truck.
Signage clearly stages the height limit is 12′ 2″ yet from time to time the sight of a truck wedged underneath the railroad bridge is familiar.
In this case much damage was done to the truck, though sometimes if air is let out of the truck’s tires, it can be removed without damage.
