Police are warning residents that since the weather is warming up there will be motorcycles on the road, as well as bicyclists, joggers and pedestrians, and to remember to share the road.
“When you’re changing lanes and approaching an intersection, look for two-wheel vehicles – whether bicycle or motorcycles,” warned Lt. John Slusarz. “Vehicles have to share the road.”
Slusarz said that statewide, each year there are several fatalities and crashes with serious injuries involving motorcycles.
“When people are driving, they filter out things their brain doesn’t think they need,” he said, using no parking signs and warning signs as an example.
“You’d be surprised,” he said. “We just filter all that out.”
