Art to the Avenue, the annual month long festival in which downtown businesses, mostly on Greenwich Avenue, pair up with local artists, kicked off on Thursday night.
The signature event of the Greenwich Arts Council turned the Avenue into a strolling art gallery for opening night.
This year 105 artists and the 85 merchants in Greenwich are participating. On Thursday night, viewers were entertained by more than 15 bands, musical groups and other performers all along the Avenue. All the art work is for sale, with a portion of the sale benefiting the arts education programs of the GAC as well as the artists.
To inquire about art for sale contact the Greenwich Arts Council at (203) 862-6750.
