Over 100 GHS Classmates of the class of 1961 and friends from the classes of 1960 and 1961 enjoyed a busy reunion weekend, Sept 23-25.
“They visited the new (to us) Greenwich High School,” said organizer Phil Oldham. Alumni of GHS also explored the Bush Holley House, The Bruce Museum, and the Greenwich Historical Society, which put on a special exhibit. Many squeezed in a few rounds of Greenwich golf and enjoyed a picnic at Tod’s Point.
The Greenwich Water Club hosted a spectacular Cocktail Party on Friday. The Saturday main event dinner was attended by 87 people. Lastly there was a Sunday farewell brunch.
Mr. Oldham tells us that classmates traveled from all over the country – from Maine to Florida and from California to Arizona and Colorado – to attend the reunion.
“All had a great time, with so many opportunities to relive Greenwich memories, see what a great community it has become,” Oldham said, adding that the best part was the opportunity to catch up, which for many meant 55 years apart. “Next up will be our 60th Reunion in 2021.”
