Ralph Difiore and Milbank Development LLC have filed an application with the Department of Public Works Buildings Division to demolish the house and three car garage at 135 Milbank Avenue, which is in the R6 zone.
Last June the Planning & Zoning commission voted to change regulations to limit new construction in the R6 zone to one or two family homes. The nearby construction of multi family homes with 3, 4, 5 or more units went through the application process before the regulations changed.
The house was built in 1906 and the lot is .31 acres. It last sold on July 2, 2001 for $1,150,000.
Because the home was constructed prior to 1940, any objection to its demolition submitted in writing should be directed to Greenwich’s building department and will mean the waiting period for demolition is 90 days instead of 45 days.
Further information concerning this pending application may be obtained
by contacting the DPW-Division of Buildings 203-622-7754.
