Robert J. Monick (Monaco), 61, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Wingate in Brewster, Massachusetts, with his loving family at his side. He was born on February 11, 1957 in Greenwich to Frances M. Monick (née Marino) and the late Dominick T. Monick.
Robert loved the ocean, boats and warm weather. He lived most of his adult life in Hawaii, California and Florida. The last few months of his life, he lived with his mother in Yarmouthport, Massachusetts, a blessing and a gift to both.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Barbara Monick, of Norwalk, CT, Elizabeth Monick, of Shelbyville, TN, and Maria Monick Barall, of Glastonbury, CT, his brothers, Bruce Monick, of California, and John Monick, of Beechgrove, Tennessee, his nephews, Joshua Monick, and nieces, Samantha Monick and Magen Monick, of Beechgrove, TN, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Cape Cod Healthcare Cardiovascular Center, Cape Cod Hospital and Wingate at Brewster for their care and support in his final days.
A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, 178 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich, CT. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
