Four Generations of the Guiffra family gathered last weekend in Pemberwick Park to celebrate the birthday of Joey Guiffra on his first birthday. The longtime residents of Pemberwick are well known in the community and were not daunted by a little rain.

As with many families who are named after one another, the Felixes go by I, Junior, III and IV rexpectively. Felix III and IV live in Pemberwick in the two-family house that belonged to Felix’s grandmother. His sister and her family live in the other unit.

They threw their gathering in the Pemberwick Park’s “Yantorno Center” to celebrate Joey’s (Felix IV) first birthday.

“Of course we all sang Happy Birthday,” said Vin DiMarco, “But then Dominic the Ice Cream Man came in from his truck and sang a couple of songs to Joey.” Vin said Dominic received a huge round of applause for his efforts. “It was pretty funny, but very special to see all the kids and a lot of the parents out on the court in the drizzle playing tennis, basketball and wiffleball, while the younger ones were making bubbles – all at the same time!”

Happy birthday Joey!
