Kazrick Barrett, 29, of 1303 E 223 Street in the Bronx, NY was arrested on Sept 21 following an incident on Putnam Ave and Orchard Street in Cos Cob.
On Wednesday at about 5:00pm, multiple Greenwich Police units were dispatched to Orchard Street and Putnam Ave on a report of a man and a woman engaging in a verbal altercation within the roadway.
Upon arrival, Greenwich Police were met by State Police Troopers and a man and woman. Dispatch further related that multiple calls had been coming in describing an argument in that location.
The investigation revealed that the victim and offender engaged in a verbal argument in the street.
The two parties were operating separate vehicles and had pulled off the shoulder of Orchard Street. The offender, Mr. Barrett, had placed his hands on the driver door of the victim’s car while she was in the driver’s seat. He proceeded to attempt to pull open the door violently and with visible anger, while screaming and yelling at the victim.
All accounts of the above mentioned acts by the offender were witnessed by multiple people, one of whom videotaped the incident.
Greenwich Police on scene observed the video footage and noted the that the offender was grabbing the driver’s door with his hands and proceeded to push the car door against the victim while she was in between the door and the vehicle.
Mr. Barrett was arrested and charged with Breach of Peace 2nd degree. He posted his $1,000 bond and was released. He has a date in court scheduled in Stamford Superior Court on Sept. 22, 2016.
