The Town of Greenwich’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Sunday March 18, 2018.

The parade begins at 2:00pm at Town Hall’s southern parking lot and will go north to US Route 1, then proceed east to Greenwich Avenue, and run down to the bottom of the Avenue to Steamboat Road, where it will disband.

Parking restrictions will be in effect starting at 10:00am on Sunday morning.

There will be “No Parkng” on the east side of Greenwich Avenue from West Putnam Ave to Steamboat Road.

In addition, there will be “No Parking” on the west side of Greenwich Avenue from Bruce Place (the Greenwich Commons Park) to Steamboat Road.

Dayton Avenue will be closed at 12:00 noon from Field Point Road to the entrance of the Acme market to facilitate the parade trucks, floats and other parade elements.

Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced and vehicles illegally parked will be towed.

Road closures will occur throughout the downtown area beginning at approximately 1:30pm in preparation for the parade.

Detour signs and police officers will be deployed to facilitate the detour of traffic in a safe and efficient manner.

Route 1 will be closed for the parade from Dearfield Drive to Lafayette Place from 1:45pm until approximately 3:00pm.

Roads will be re-opened as the parade passes by and it is determined that it is safe to do so.
