On Saturday volunteers were busy setting up tents and tables for the 29th annual Puttin’ On the Dog fundraiser, presented by Pet Pantry Warehouse on Sunday, September 18. The event takes takes place in Roger Sherman Baldwin Park from 10am-4:30pm. Tickets are $15 for adults (kids under 12 with adults are free), $5 for seniors and kids 13-18 and $25 for the family package (two adults, up to four children).
Earlier this week, Adopt-A-Dog volunteers were are Joey B’s in Cos Cob with Bulbasaur and Eevee, two dogs available for adoption.
Eevee, a pit bull mix, came to Adopt-A-Dog via Miami. She is full of bubbly infectious energy and would be the perfect addition to a home with older children that can bring her on walks and to the park. Eevee is both cat and dog friendly and a favorite at the shelter.
Bulbasaur, a pit bull mix, is a handsome 3 year old with an incredible personality and pretty brindle coat. He would love to be in a home with older teenagers that could take him on long walks and spoil him with treats. Hailing from West Virginia, Bulbasaur was with a family before they were separated by the flooding there. After landing at Adopt-A-Dog, he has proven himself to be one of the most amiable dogs. He does very well with other dogs and cats, and especially loves having playdates with his dog BFF Eevee! Bulba has a bubbly personality and loves to give kisses.
