Greenwich is beginning the process of updating its Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD). The plan is something of a blueprint to guide the Town in its decision making for the next decade.
Because the POCD intends to function as a community vision to guide the Town’s physical and economic development for the next 10 to 20 years, all residents and stakeholders are encouraged to provide input and attend any or all of three upcoming workshops.
The POCD will result in a set of policies that direct future growth and development. The Plan can lead to potential strategies to help effectively guide Town leaders with decisions impacting the community.
It is critical that all of Greenwich’s stakeholders are involved in the development of the POCD.
The Town is committed to involving residents and business owners and operators in the process in order to craft a community vision for Greenwich’s future. Ultimately, the POCD will be approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission and presented for adoption at the Representative Town Meeting.

These meetings are specific to the business community to spend some time discussing your thoughts about Greenwich today and your ideas for our community’s future. Every citizen is welcome. There is no need to RSVP.
Meetings for public input:
Wednesday, January 17 from 7:00-9:00pm in the Cole Auditorium at Greenwich Library. The focus of this meeting is to begin the process of gathering information for the POCD.
Thursday, January 18 from 8:00-9:30 am in the Town Hall Meeting Room.
The focus will be on Greenwich Avenue and the Village Centers.
Friday, January 19 from 8-9:30 am in the Town Hall Meeting Room. The focus will be on the Post Road corridor.
