Greenwich Police responded to Sephora on Greenwich Avenue on Dec 26 around 4:30pm on a report of a larceny that had just occurred.

Police were told that two men carrying a duffle bag had fled on foot and gotten into a vehicle driven by a third person.

During the incident the two men, Markeice Samuel, 18, of 84 Carlton St in Brooklyn, and Junior Salmon, 21, of 459 Hinsdale St in Brooklyn, NY, got into a physical fight with Sephora employees before they ran outside and fled the scene in a 2007 Infiniti G35 driven by Shaquelle Taitt, 23, of 363 New York Ave in Brooklyn.

Greenwich Police Lt Slusarz said the confrontation was between store employees and the two suspects as they tried to leave the store.

“They weren’t exactly trying to hide that they were stealing,” Slusarz said. “They strong-armed two of the employees.”

Slusarz said employees got a description and plate number of the car the men fled in.

That car was observed by a police officer on Greenwich Avenue who stopped the car.
