On the afternoon of December 12, police received a report of a package going missing from a home on Sound Beach Ave.
Police say the stolen package contained three pairs of slippers with an approximate value of $200.
According to Lt Slusarz, at this time of year, a lot of people are having packages delivered.
“Porch pirates follow around UPS or Fed Ex trucks. When the guy delivers package and leaves it on the porch, someone comes up quickly behind them and grabs the package,” Slusarz warned. “It’s not just Greenwich, it happens all over the US.”
Greenwich Police urge residents to contact them if they see something that doesn’t feel right.
“Please, if somebody sees something odd, like someone driving around the neighborhood, we want to get these guys. We want everybody to have a nice holiday,” Slusarz said. “If you see something say something.”
