On Sunday morning, Greenwich Police officers responded to Marks Road in Riverside on report of a vehicle theft. The car had been parking in the driveway.
The reporting party told police that a Toyota Hylander was taken from the driveway some time after 1:30am.
The car had been left unlocked and had the key inside.
This car theft is but one in a string of cars stolen in the overnight hours in Greenwich. No part of town is exempt and Greenwich Police have repeatedly urged residents to lock their cars and bring keys inside.
Chief Heavey has said Greenwich has a reputation as an easy target, and has repeatedly asked residents to change their habits.
