On Nov 14, around 11:30pm, Greenwich Police were dispatched to North Water Street on a report of a physical assault.
Officers met with the victim who advised that his friend, later identified as Byron Estuardo Pineda-Barrera, 35, of 79 North Water Street, had punched him in the face for no reason, and then taken off on foot.
A short time later, Greenwich Police officers located Mr. Pineda-Barrera who alleged that his friend had insulted his mother.
Mr. Pineda-Barrera was arrested and charged with Assault 3. At the time of his arrest he was unable to post his $250 bond and was placed in a cell awaiting his Nov 29, 2017 appearance in Stamford Superior Court.
