The Greenwich Association of Realtors’ Board of Directors are contributing up to a $5,000 match to all Realtor members who contribute to Light Up Greenwich.
Light Up Greenwich is the 501©3, not-for- profit organization that decorates the trees up and down Greenwich Avenue with lights during the winter months.
This is the third year that the non-profit group is looking to raise $60,000 to cover the cost of the installation, removal and electricity costs for the project.
Many believe that the Town supplies the lights, but that is not the case, the funds are 100% from private citizens across Town.
The lights are hung in November and continue to light each night through March.
“Greenwich Avenue is a landmark in our Town and the Realtors are excited to help make this street sparkle during the winter months. The Realtors not only sell real estate across the Town, but we also live and work in the community and it is important to our Board of Directors that our organization and members contribute to our Town’s beauty,” stated BK Bates, President of the Greenwich Association of Realtors.
“Light Up Greenwich is very thankful to the Greenwich Association of Realtors for their continued commitment to this project. We have a short time to raise the rest of the funds and start hanging the lights, we are thankful to everyone who would consider a contribution at this time, in any amount,” said Linda Sigler, Co-Chair of Light Up Greenwich.
