The A&P store  locations at both 160 West Putnam Avenue and 1261 East Putnam Avenue in Riverside are among the 120 A&P supermarket chain stores that its parent company, the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, intends to sell following a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing on Monday, company officials said.

According to a post on the company’s website, most customers will experience no impact on their shopping experience.

“While some stores will close in the near-term, the vast majority will continue providing customers with the same high-quality products and exceptional customer service,” A&P’s bulletin said. “We will also continue to honor all existing customer promotional and loyalty programs.”

According to A&P’s website, both A&P locations in Greenwich are under an asset purchase agreement with Acme Markets Inc.
