From Wake Forest to Wash U, Greenwich Students are Making News in College

college file photoSeveral Greenwich Students made dean’s list at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem NC for spring semester, including Caroline Routh, Caroline Antonacci, Mahir Nichani, Charlotte Wechsler, Eleanor Hamilton, Austin Allee, Kristina Reese, Alexander Lerangis, Hale Johnson, Georgia Parent, Olivia Mosley and Landin Petersen, and Charlotte Said. Dean’s List at Wake Forest requires students achieve a 3.4 grade point average and no grade below a “C.”


Ryan Hagerbrant, graduated from Washington University in St. Louis on May 15. Ryan, a graduated of Brunswick in 2011, was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the economics honor society. He graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and finance.

Washington University is counted among the world’s leaders in teaching and research, and it draws students and faculty to St. Louis from all 50 states and more than 120 nations. The total student body is more than 14,000.


Christian A Contreras made spring semester Dean’s List at Bryant University. He is a Senior in Accounting and Gabrielle M Migliaccio, a Senior in Communication.

Bryant University in Smithfield, RI, was founded in 1863, Bryant University has approximately 3,500 graduate and undergraduate students from 33 states and 85 countries.


Meredith Clark, a member of Denison’s class of 2017, of Greenwich was named to the school’s dean’s list during 2015 spring semester. Students who achieve dean’s list status have maintained a grade point average of 3.7 or better (out of 4.0).


Lana Zuaiter made dean’s list at Hofstra University. To make dean’s list students must achieve a GPA of at least 3.5. Hofstra  is a private university just 25 miles from New York City and all its cultural, recreational and professional opportunities. Hofstra University is a dynamic community of more than 11,000 students known for civic engagement and public service.


Members of the Union College Class of 2015 received their diplomas Sunday, June 14 included Adam Sands, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Economics, and Shelby Snyder who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Psychology.

The Commencement speaker was eBay CEO-designate Devin Wenig, a 1988 alum of the college who urged graduates to pursue their passion and to embrace the ample opportunities in one of the most exciting times in history.

 

Union College, founded in 1795 as the first college chartered by the New York State Board of Regents, offers programs in the liberal arts and engineering to 2,100 undergraduates of high academic promise and strong personal motivation.


Brooke Nethercott made Spring Dean’s List at The University of Hartford, which is centrally located in Connecticut. The school has more than 84 programs in the arts, humanities, science, business, engineering and technology, education, and health professions. Chartered in 1957, University of Hartford has more than 5,000 undergraduates, and 1,600 graduate students.
