Greenwich Police have arrested the cat burglar who targeted homes in Old Greenwich over the summer.
“We’ve had two instances in Old Greenwich of people going into houses with people at home at night, unlocked, no alarms and taking items,” said Greenwich Police Lieutenant David Nemecek at the July 24 press briefing.
During the week of September 10, Greenwich Police arrested a 17-year old juvenile from Stamford who was linked to the crimes by physical evidence.
The teen was charged with:
Burglary 1st- 53a-101
Larceny 6th- 53a-108
Criminal Trespass 2nd-53a-108
According to Lt. David Nemecek, in the two burglaries, the suspect stole personal items that were easily grabbed.
