Tip Leads to Arrest of Man Known to Greenwich Police

On Tuesday, Greenwich Police received information that Nicholas A Scarfone, 33, of 39 Old Field Point Rd in Greenwich was in an apartment at 78 River Rd. Police held an active warrant for his arrest for a Larceny at Walgreens Pharmacy in Riverside on June 9, 2017.

Police responded to the area and located Mr. Scarfone and took him into custody. He was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Larceny and was unable to post his $10,000 bond at the time of his arrest. He has a court date on Sept 20, 2017 in Stamford Superior Court.

Mr. Scarfone is known to Greenwich Police.

In August 2016, he was arrested on a warrant for a May 14 burglary on Old Track Road. According to the CT Judicial Branch website, in April 2017 he was found guilty in April this year of Burglary 3, a class D Felony for that incident.

Back in 2011, police stopped a taxi for having a defective brake light, and wound up arresting the driver, Mr. Scarfone, on drug-related charges after they found 23 waxed paper folds containing a brown powder which tested positive for heroin. He was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as traffic related charges.

In February 2014 he was found guilty for Larceny 4, a Class A Misdemeanor for an offense dating back to November 2013. For both offenses he was given probation.

Also arrested on a warrant on Sept 19 was Jacqueline Ingram, 34, of 39 Old Field Point Road in Greenwich. She was arrested and charged with Larceny 6 and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny. Her bond was set at $1,000 which she was able to post. She has a court date scheduled in Stamford Superior court on Oct 4, 2017.
