At about 2:25am on Thursday, Greenwich received a burglar alarm activation from 42 Greenwich Ave, which is a location of an AT&T store.
Burglars shattered the store’s front glass door and went in and broke apart access doors inside. Police are in the process of determining what might be missing.
Lt David Nemecek said when police have this type call for a fresh burglary, a canine dog is brought in for a suspect track.
“If we don’t have the canine, we call other jurisdictions. In this case MTA responded with a canine,” he said.
“Canines are great and they’ve caught people,” Nemecek said.
“As per standard for these investigations, we’ll determine whether there were cameras available and whether there were any witnesses,” said Lt Nemecek. “Detectives are continuing the investigation.”
