Greenwich Police report that there were two residential burglaries on Saturday, Aug 12. Both involved thieves reaching through windows to grab items of value.
In the first incident, which took place at 1:30am in the area of Josephine Evaristo Ave, culprits removed a screen and reached inside the window to take a handbag.
In the second incident, which occurred at about 10:00pm, in the area of Hamilton Ave thieves broke a window and grabbed a pack of cigarettes that were within reach from the window.
Neither incident involved entry into the home.
“Safeguard your property,” warned Greenwich Police Lt. David Nemecek. “As with cars, don’t leave valuables where someone can seem them in plain sight and give them an opportunity.”
