Joseph “Buddy” Francis Williams, Jr. of Greenwich, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, comforted by family and loved ones. He was 74.

Born in Greenwich, February 14, 1943 to Joseph F. and Anne Williams, Joseph cherished his Catholic education attending St. Mary’s Grammar School and graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1960 where he was known to “make friends all the while.”

He was a proud 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Greenwich, the Byram Veterans Association, and the Gaelic American Club.

A charitable man, Joseph anonymously donated to many causes in an effort to help those in need.

He loved the water and could often be found racing his nationally competitive Eltro speedboat “Sidewinder” throughout CT and NY, water skiing on Long Island Sound or enjoying family and friends at Island Beach.

He is survived by Mary Ann Williams, his loving sons Joseph (Andrea), Kevin and David (Roxana); and four cherished grandsons.

To honor his life, a memorial gathering will be held Sunday 4:00pm-8:00pm at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home,  134 Hamilton Ave in Greenwich.

A memorial mass will be held Monday 10:00am at St. Mary’s Church Greenwich followed by inurnment at St. Mary’s Cemetery Greenwich. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joseph’s name to Wounded Warrior Project.
