The Second Congregational Church is where the memorial service for Nicolas Del Priore was held.

Inside Second Congregational Church, the benches and mezzanine were filled. Not a single seat was empty. Many leaned against the walls and sat on the stairs to listen to the service.

Friends and family of Nicolas Del Priore came dressed in bright colors, and as churchgoers dropped off donations of canned goods for Neighbor to Neighbor’s food pantry at the entrance, they could hear a soft, orchestral rendition of “For Good” from Wicked playing in the background.

The service was not only an emotional, and at times tearful, tribute to a love lost, but also a celebration of life, and there was plenty of music and fond memories shared.

Nic’s father, sister, friends, and teachers spoke about his generosity, intelligence, and sense of humor, and many offered personal stories about Nic’s kindness and dedication to helping others.

The ceremony was about an hour long, and most attendees stayed for a reception in Fletcher Hall.
