The Friends and Staff of the Cos Cob Library welcome Cos Cob resident Michele Turk, who will present a free lecture on how to write an impressive college admissions essay.
The lecture will be held at the Cos Cob Library on Monday, July 13 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Students and their parents are welcome to attend.
Michele Turk has worked as a writer and editor for two decades, and she has worked as an adjunct writing professor at Quinnipaic University.
Her articles have appeared in Business Week, USA Weekend, Parents and U.S. News and World Report magazines, among other publications. Turk is the author of “Blood, Sweat and Tears: An Oral History of the American Red Cross,” and co-editor of “Inkstained,” a collection of essays by the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism Class of 1992.
