GFP rode the first ferry of the 2107 season to Island Beach and found it had received much attention in advance of the 2017 summer season. There was lots of fresh paint, well tended flower beds, and clean new bathrooms. Though the Great Captain Island Ferry will not be available for service until further notice, the Island Beach ferry service commenced on Saturday, June 10, and it could not have been a more perfect beach day.
One can only wonder wondered why there weren’t more people there.
