Pure Barre Greenwich will host a class in Bruce Park on Thursday, June 8 at 6:15pm, with proceeds going to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Man of the Year Campaign — supporting Ryan Longmire and his team: Answer for Cancer.

“Pure Barre hosted a similar event last year,” said Ryan Longmire.  “It was a big hit in the Greenwich community so they wanted to bring it back again this year.  Pure Barre is passionate about positively impacting their local community and supporting charities that promote a healthy lifestyle.”

Whether a Pure Barre expert or newbie, anyone can come lift, tone and burn for the cause.   All participants will meet by the gazebo in Bruce Park in Greenwich starting around 5:45pm and they can make a suggested donation of $20 online beforehand or bring cash or a check that evening.

Participants should come with a yoga mat or towel.

“The campaign is very important to me because the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is truly a one of a kind organization,” said Ryan.  “Their research is not only ground breaking but ground shattering. Anything that I can do to help them achieve their goals means they are one step closer to making the world free of blood cancer diseases.”

After class, everyone is invited to mix and mingle with Ryan and his “Answer for Cancer” team at MacDuff’s to continue the fun and support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Pure Barre Greenwich was started by owner Ashley Allen in 2012.  After a childhood of competitive gymnastics and tennis and a lifetime passion for exercise and fitness, Ashley graduated with a BS in Kinesiology from Temple University, with a focus in exercise and sport science.

Having been an instructor at the Philadelphia Pure Barre location during college, she fell in love with the technique and saw a method that could help her both physically and mentally reach her optimal fitness level and strength.

Through building the Pure Barre Greenwich community, Ashley has been able to help inspire and challenge thousands of people over the past four years.  Visit www.purebarre.com/ct-greenwich/ for additional Pure Barre information or to sign-up for Pure Barre at Bruce Park.
