Finally, the Greenwich Farmer’s Market opens for the season on Saturday,
May 20th, at 9:30 in the Arch Street Commuter Lot off exit 3. The market runs until 1:00pm.
Per tradition the market will open with the traditional “ringing of the bell by market master Judy Waldeyer, aka The Jam Lady. Judy runs The Herb Basket Tel. (203) 380-0580.
This summer the Greenwich Farmer’s Market has a new vendor, Norm Bloom from Copps Island Oysters in Norwalk, who will be harvesting oysters for sale.
Nancy Moore from Moorefield Herb Farm is bringing heirloom tomato plants
in gallon pots on the 20th. Her plants include Bear Claw, Brandywine(Sudduth strain), Green Zebra, Mule Team, Granny Cantrell, Paul Robison, Black Krim,Mortgage Lifter, San Marzano (plum),Cherokee Purple and Yellow Pear.

Please permit the farmers to set up, and not ask to make sales before the opening.
Once again, just a reminder that pets are not allowed in the market
area.
