Pit Stop Rescue is accepting local applications to adopt Wally, who is a very special boy. Photographed on Wednesday in Greenwich at his foster home, where he is succeeding in gaining the weight he needs de-stressing from his ordeal, Wally revealed his gentlemanly nature.
Volunteers at Pit Stop tell us that the second they saw Wally’s little, seriously little, deformed body at Bridgeport Animal Control, where he was picked up as a stray, they knew they couldn’t say no.
“Wally needs a special home that has an extra amount of love to give,” said Anya from Pit Stop Rescue. “Wally is looking for a home without many stairs, or a home willing to install a ramp because his leg deformities – most likely caused by inbreeding – make stairs a challenge.”
“We have no idea the hell that Wally has been through, but he responds to love and has so much love to offer,” said Wally’s rescuers at Pit Stop.
Wally absolutely loves dogs of all sizes and enjoys romping in the yard with his playmate, Dover, at his foster home in Greenwich.
Wally would be great with children and is great with everyone he meets.
Please email Anya.pitstop@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting Wally. His rescuers would love for him to stay local so they can stay in touch, as they are completely smitten with Wally.
