Greenwich could not have asked for a more beautiful day for an event billed as the “Spring Spruce Up” at Grass Island.
Members of the community all gathered at the Greenwich Dog Park from 9:00am-12:00 noon to paint, rake, plant, and enjoy each other’s company.

Organizer Jessica Del Guercio was a major contribution to the execution of the event. However, the enthusiasm and passion from community during the event is what really allowed it to be a success.

PAWS of Greenwich provided many activities for visitors to learn more about dog care and the opportunity to see dozens of small canine friends enjoying the space. The organization prides in their”support for animal welfare initiatives to help support dogs and their owners in the local community.”

Jill Young was one of the countless members of the community who visited the park on Saturday.
“It’s really important for dogs to have a safe place to come around and get the exercise they deserve.” Jill said.
