The Stanwich School is pleased to announce that Steve Ginsburg — Regional Director of the Connecticut Anti-Defamation League — has accepted the school’s invitation to serve as keynote speaker at Stanwich’s commencement ceremony on June 1, 2017.
“I’m so honored to be a part of the commencement exercises at a school that has elevated the community’s understanding of excellence in education. Stanwich has been unparalleled in its positive impact on the lives of its students and families, and I’m excited to speak to, and meet with, its seniors at such an important juncture in their lives,” Ginsburg said.
Steve Ginsburg is the Regional Director of the Connecticut Anti-Defamation League (ADL) office in Hamden, CT. In that capacity, he oversees the League’s efforts to monitor and expose extremist groups, promote civil rights and build bridges of understanding among diverse groups within the region.
He came to ADL after serving as Principal at Mission Measurement – a firm that works with foundations, corporations and nonprofits to predict and maximize their effectiveness and return on investment. Prior to that, he was Director of Development for ADL’s Greater Chicago/Upper Midwest Region, one of ADL’s largest offices.
Steve also served as Chief Legal Counsel to the Office of the Governor of the State of Illinois, and helped run the American Bar Association Rule of Law reform project in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, in the late 1990s. Additionally, he practiced law at Katten Muchin Rosenman and Huron Consulting Group.
Receiving his A.B. from Duke University (Class of 1991), Steve earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (Class of 1995). Born in Highland Park, IL, Steve now resides in Westport, CT with his wife, Laurie and their two sons.
