The Greenwich Boat Show continues on Sunday, April 9 at Beacon Point Marine on River Road, and the forecast is for another sunny day with a high of 64°.
The show offers sea-trials and free admission. Boaters, anglers and families have access to test drive multiple boats on Long Island Sound, and this year, the 9th year since the show was first imagined, there are over 100 new boats representing 43 brands and 18 of the best dealers in the region. Whether you’re interested in power boats or yachts, cruising boats of fishing boats, there are plenty of choices.
On Saturday, following a busy day on the water, guests headed to the showroom to enjoy a fashion show and party with flowing Prosecco, abundant shrimp, and passed hors d’oeuvres.
Guests admired Lamborghinis provided by the event’s land sponsor Manhattan Motorcars.
During remarks, State Senator Scott Frantz said he is introducing a bill in Hartford to cut the boat tax by half. Currently the tax is 6.35%. There will be a hearing in Hartford on Tuesday.
