Aspiring artists and proud parents alike gathered at the K-12 District Art Showcase on Thursday evening at Greenwich High School.

The event unveiled art pieces from students around the district focusing on social issues, life lessons, and anything their imaginations could create.

Greenwich Public Schools Arts department initiative emphasizes how “the support and collaboration of all the schools and community members define a tradition of arts excellence which is highly recognized and respected within the town and state.”

Guests were able to enjoy the displays and complimentary snacks throughout the Media Center. Each school was grouped together to allow students to easily find their work along with those of their peers.

Emma Schaale, a  photography  student at Greenwich High School, says “There are students who are more literate in art and it helps express themselves more emotionally. Its great to see youth of all ages share their hard work with the whole community.”
