Julianne Ward Is Greenwich’s Realtor of the Year for 2016

The Greenwich Association of Realtors (GAR) announced that Julianne C. Ward of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties is GAR’s Realtor of the Year for 2016.

Ward served as a member of the Professional Standards Committee of the Greenwich Association of Realtors and the Greenwich Multiple Listing Service from 2014-2016, and as a member of the Risk Reduction Committee from 2015-2016. Ward served as Chair of the Social Committee from 2001-2010 and Chair of the MLS Committee in 2003. She also actively served as a member of the Grievance Committee in 2001-2003, 2006-2007.

Ward is a strong contributor to the education and mentoring of real estate professionals in the Greenwich community. Ward’s colleagues credit her for always taking action on issues, educating members on issues that affect real estate, and inspiring them to get involved.

Ward has been a Realtor for 28 years. Her tenure has included time with the former Prudential real estate office, Weichert and William Pitt offices. Recognized as a strong leader within the Berkshire Hathaway Greenwich office, she is eager to assist new agents with any questions they might have and to help with listing presentations.

In addition to her professional commitments, Ward contributes to the community at large with service in several organizations including fundraising for charities such as the Sunshine Kids, TAG, YMCA, United Way, Red Cross, Greenwich Day Care, and the Neighbor to Neighbor Thanksgiving, Coat and Food Drives. Ward was presented the Realtor of the Year award by Eric Bjork, a member of GAR’s Board of Directors and the manager of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services.

The Realtor of the Year Award is the highest honor presented to a member and is based upon leadership and contributions made to the Greenwich Association of Realtors, the Connecticut Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, and the Greenwich community.

“Julianne has been dedicated to the during her career. Julianne is very-detailed oriented and driven to make an impact in any way she can to make GAR’s events and members more successful,” said GAR 2017 president BK Bates. “We owe her an enormous debt of gratitude for all of her contributions to our association and our Town.”

The Greenwich Association of Realtors is the professional board of choice for the real estate industry in Greenwich. Established in 1924, the association provides professional development and services for Realtors and represents the concerns and interests of private property and home ownership rights. The association has over 800 members and is headquartered in Greenwich.
