On Saturday, the Central Middle School math team from Greenwich, coached by Ted Ostruzka, finished in first place in the team round at the Fairfield County Mathcounts competition.
Sam Florin also finished first as an individual competitor for the second straight year with a perfect score.
The team will next head to the state competition in Hartford.
